About the Northside Arts Collective (NAC)
In 2001, with a list of names gathered at a Minneapolis Arts Resource Fair, artist potlucks fueled the Northside Arts Collective. Early on, it became clear that involvement in the greater Northside community was and is important to Northside Arts Collective members. Geographic concentration: 53rd Ave. N. at the north, I-394 at the south, from the Mississippi River at the east, to the parkways (Victory Memorial Drive/Xerxes/Theodore Wirth) at the west.
NAC became a 501(c)3 organization in 2006.
Northside Arts Collective is managed by a volunteer board of directors, pursues programming appropriate to the energy of the organization’s volunteer members; and seeks funds for more complex and sustained programming/opportunities. Operating funds have been provided by the McKnight Foundation.
